Florence: The Cultural Capital of Europe

Have I mentioned how excited I am about my trip to Florence in February? Florence is one of my favorite cities in the world, and Rick Steves is right: it is enormously rich. The food? Incredible. The art? Without peer. And the history is a fascinating blend of politics, money, and religion.

I enjoyed Rick Steves' article about Florence this morning. Happy reading!

And don't forget: if you're in the Sacramento area, there are still tickets available for his talk on October 20.  Rick Steves: Travel as a Spiritual Act

And We're Back!

Hello!  It’s been awhile, and I hope you are doing well! I’ve had a nice break, but it is good to be back to blogging.  There’s so much in store for the next few months!

Passports with Purpose will be back in November, and this year our goal is to raise $50,000 to build an entire village in India through LAFTI International. Fabulous!  And wait until you see the prize I’m sponsoring!

Plus, I have two trips to Italy planned -- Tuscany and the Veneto in February and Rome in May!  And how about Minneapolis, Chicago, Lake Tahoe, and San Francisco in between.  Lots going on and lots of fun ahead!

For now, here's a little afternoon giggle for you featuring my favorite furry blue monster:

Ciao!
