I remember watching Julia on PBS as a child, and I was moved to see her kitchen laid out. It is not glamorous. Martha Stewart would not think it was a good thing. But there is such sweetness in the reminders still taped to her phone, the copper pots hung in place on peg board, and the photographs on the fridge. Bon appetit!
