The First Darts

The game of darts began as soldiers practiced their throwing accuracy.  They threw their weapons aiming for trees and barrels, sharpening their skills and shooting for perfection.  A daily writing practice requires much the same -- accuracy, sharp skills, and constant, daily practice.  I imagine that's what the creator of the Premios Dardos Award had in mind when it was created.

This week Ms. Julianne Douglas of Writing the Renaissance bestowed the "Premios Dardos Award" honored me with the award.

Thank you, Julianne!

"Premios Dardos" means "first darts" -- sharp, pointed, targeted, and timely.  And now I get to throw the dart...

According to Julianne, the Premios Dardos Award "acknowledges the values that every Blogger displays in their effort to transmit cultural, ethical, literary, and personal values with each message they write" and is "a way to show appreciation and gratitude for work that adds value to the Web."

I'd like to bestow the honorary dart on a blogger who is always one of the "first darts" in my day...

I have made several of Judy's recipes, and they always turn out beautifully.  Be warned: she makes me hungry every time I stop by her blog.

So, stop by and visit Judy. She is publishing her first cookbook soon; you might want to get on the list for one!
